Per Elisa: Characters è stato tradotto dal traduttore automatico come caratteri ma in realtà vuol dire personaggi
e la frase: "In modo che marche me "un autore bestselling internazionale." vuol dire "questo fa di me un autore internazionale di bestseller"
probabilmente anche se tradotto male, per chi non sa l'inglese si capiva dal contesto però scusate ma non ho resistito, i traduttori automatici sono troppo stupidi li odio...

ely, mi sembra di aver capito che anche tu 6 appassionata di lingue e x quanto riguarda i traduttori automatici sono d'accordo anche se obiettivamente sono delle macchine e non dei cervelli. Pensa che Brian Freeman per salutare i suoi fan spagnoli scriveva "con i miei desideri + caldi" traduzione letteraria "with my warmest wishes"!!Ti immagini le donne?? Avranno fatto pensieri calienti!!

Parlando di personaggi, hai citato il quarto e quinto libro, mi viene da piangere :x, scusa, ma non riesco a trattenermi. So perfettamente che tu voglia che i tuoi libri siano in tutte le parti del mondo in ogni momento, e che non è colpa tua se qui ci sono solamente i primi 2 libri, ma quando me lo ricordi, divento triste :( . Stavo pensando di comprare la versione originale dei tuoi libri + in là, sai x caso se sono disponibili??

Ambra, when you say the "original version," do you mean the English editions? Yes, they're available, including #3, STALKED, which won't be out in Italy until next year. Amazon.co.uk has all of them.

I'm working on details of my U.S. tour for STALKED. So far, stops in Minnesota, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Phoenix, Dallas, Indianapolis, and Chicago. February will be busy!

Ambra, quando dite "la versione originale," significate le edizioni inglesi? Sì, sono disponibili, compreso # 3, INSEGUITO, che non saranno fuori in Italia fino all'anno prossimo. Amazon.co.uk ha tutti.

Sto lavorando ai particolari del mio giro degli U.S. per STALKED. Finora, arresti a nel Minnesota, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Phoenix, Dallas, Indianapolis e Chicago. Febbraio sarà occupato!

Bastaaa chi vuole progettare insieme a me un traduttore automatico "intelligente"??

Tornando in tema, la prossima volta che andrò in libreria voglio comprare Immoral, spero di trovarlo.. Ambra con quale casa editrice è uscito?

Sono contenta che tu voglia leggere IMMORAL, a me è piaciuto molto, mi ricordo che quando avevo inziato a leggerlo, prima avevo letto un libro di una noia allucinante di cui ho rimosso sia l'autore che il titolo (credo che sia un'autodifesa!)e invece dalla prima pagina IMMORAL mi ha coinvolto subito. Cmq lo trovi nella versione tascabile piemme, vai sul sito: http://piemme3.bluestudio.it/maestrithriller/maestrithriller_last_pub/.

Mi sta venendo un dubbio, lo posso scrivere il sito?Male che va Zaratia mi bacchetta! :cry:

A baton is what a conductor uses to conduct an orchestra. So no doubt that makes perfect sense in context....or not.... :lol:

Back from Florida this afternoon (wonderful time!), off to California tomorrow morning for a mystery symposium, back Sunday, off to New York for publishing meetings Tuesday, back Thursday.

I heard from the very gracious Giorgio Faletti, who loved LAS VEGAS BABY and pronounced it "unputdownable." I have no idea how that will translate, but I'm delighted that he enjoyed it.

Yes, Giorgio seems like a very warm and gracious man. What is it about we crime writers that we are nice people but write about such depraved things?? :lol:

Oh, and he immediately read IMMORAL, too, and loved it. His first book is (finally!!) coming out in English next year, so I can't wait to read it.

I'm back home after five plane rides in eight days. Nice to be back for a while. I've been battling a nasty cold, but I think the Vitamin C is finally kicking in. I was at a big publishing party in New York on Wednesday night and had a chance to meet Nelson DeMille and Stuart Woods, two authors I very much enjoy myself.

........nooooooo I knew Giorgio Faletti as a comic so he's very nice and, in all honesty I've never thought he could be a great writer, and I'm so happy that you will be able to read his first book, it's one of my favorite and I suppose you will be agree with me....we have a similiar tastes :wink:

In the other side I've never knew you before, so I know you as a thriller writer, but I just can tell you're nice too!! :D

Welcome back after your plane rides and if it feels you better I've had a bad cold, too, now I'm getting better......and I'm glad you have met two authors you love, I'd be very happy if I have the same opportunity for istance meeting you, it'd be fantastic!!

I did three book clubs in Minneapolis this week. I always tell people about the time that I met a reader at a local bookstore whose book group had read IMMORAL and loved it. I told him he should have invited me to join them to speak to the group. Well, he looked rather sheepish and said, "We saw the photo on your web site, and we thought you looked kinda scary!"

So yes, Ambra, people do seem to think we thriller writers are dangerous!! :lol:
