Torejx, yes, I expect the pocketbook edition of LAS VEGAS BABY will be available in August in their Maestri del Thriller line. You can probably find the trade paperback in stores or online right now, too, and it's also available now from Mondolibri. And the third book will be published this summer, too.

We are still struggling with the title for my fourth novel in the US and UK. I'm glad writing a book isn't as hard as coming up with the title! It's easier in Italy when someone else does it for me...!

Caro Brian,
il tuo personal translator questa volta ha dimostrato di essere veramente come Dr.Jeckill e Mr.Hyde.
Un inizio sfolgorante, corretto, da Accademia della Crusca poi dopo il link, e credo anche qualche drink, ha cominciato a svirgolare, ad andare a zig zag e allora ecco alcune perle:
- lottare per il titolo con un quarto di manzo è peggio che litigare per un parcheggio con Mike Thyson
- che tu sia la Scrittura dimostra quanto ci sia il rischio del culto della personalità, volevo solo sapere quanto eri alto, perchè dalle nostre parti qualcuno di bassino si è elevato ad altezze impensabili,
- che non è il libro che dev'essere duro dovresti ormai saperlo, qualsiasi cosa ti abbiano fornito lascia perdere, con i libri non funziona!
- io non so in che scuola di musica sei andato ma il me - l'fa - per è una scala musicale veramente bizzarra

We are traveling to Duluth tomorrow to scout out locations for book five. Then, when we are back home, it's my wife's birthday. We will be visiting a Brazilian "churrascaria" for dinner. It's a carnivore's delight..."gauchos" strolling around the restaurant carving skewers of grilled meats. Do you have anything like that in Italy?

Glad to hear the Torino book fair went well, Alfredo. Someday we will have to do a joint presentation at a book fair -- wouldn't that be fun?
Here's what a great husband I am (ha ha). Marcia and I spent the afternoon of her birthday today cleaning out our swimming pool for the season. I didn't make her scoop any of the thousands of dead worms at the bottom of the pool. She didn't even have to dump the skimmer basket. Now that's love!! ;-)
While in Duluth, we sold the rights to my fourth Stride book in France, and we sold the rights to my pseudonymous book in Germany. Still waiting on Italy, but I'm sure deals will follow there soon.

Here' s ché grande marito sono (ha ha). Marcia ed io hanno passare il pomeriggio del suo compleanno oggi che pulisce fuori la nostra piscina per la stagione. I didn' la t fa la sua paletta c'è ne di migliaia di viti senza fine guasti alla parte inferiore dello stagno. Lei didn' la t persino deve fare uscire il cestino della scrematrice. Ora che ' amore di s!! ; -)
Mentre a Duluth, abbiamo venduto i diritti al mio quarto libro di progresso in Francia ed abbiamo venduto i diritti al mio libro pseudonymous in Germania. Ancora attendendo sull'Italia, ma su I' di m. gli affari sure seguiranno là presto.

Hey, everybody, happy Monday to you. Sorry I've been away for a few weeks. Finally, I am home -- and we will be home for several months.
Alfredo, good news -- some translation work will no doubt be heading your way shortly, assuming you still slum it doing translations now that you are a published author yourself! Piemme have signed on to publish the fourth Stride book, so that's terrific. You can all look for it in Italy in 2009.
The English titles of #4 are IN THE DARK (in the US) and SUSPICION (in the UK). Yes, yes, very confusing, having two titles for the same book. The book is emotionally intense -- I really think you'll enjoy it.
And of course, I am anxiously awaiting the release of THE MOTH'S DANCE in Italy next month!
We were in New York meeting with my US publisher for a couple days last week. Good meetings, but the weather was hot hot hot. The temperatures set records. So we're happy to be back in rainy but cool Minnesota.
